Good things to know
A concise guide to how Yeatee fits around your table and keeps you in control.
01What is Yeatee designed to help with?
Yeatee is designed for people who want an easier way to decide what to eat and organise meals with someone they trust. It keeps your recipes, restaurant favourites, meal plans and shopping lists together, so planning a meal does not have to start from scratch every time.
02What is included with a free account?
A free account includes the complete Yeatee feature set: recipe and restaurant records, meal planning, shopping lists, Sticker Studio, AI recipe scans, friends and private sharing. The Free allowance includes up to 20 saved recipes, 5 AI recipe scans each month, 3 custom shopping list stickers and up to 50 friends. Meal History can be kept for up to 90 days or turned off from the Danger Zone in your Profile.
03Can I save restaurant dishes as well as my own recipes?
Yes. Your recipe book can hold dishes you cook and meals you want to remember from restaurants. Restaurant records can include details such as the restaurant name and address, with Apple Maps available when you want directions. The price you record stays private to you.
04How does AI recipe scanning help me?
When you choose to start a scan, Yeatee can use a photo of a dish or menu to prepare a recipe draft for you to review before saving and refine in your recipe book. This can make it faster to keep a dish you made or enjoyed at a restaurant. AI suggestions may be incomplete or inaccurate, so you remain in control of what is saved.
05Can I use Yeatee on my own and with someone else?
Yes. You can use Yeatee as your own recipe book and meal planner, then use the friend features only when they are useful. With a confirmed friend, you can send a meal idea, decide whether it works for both of you and choose which supporting information is shared.
06How do meal plans and shopping lists work together?
Yeatee brings the ingredients from your planned recipes into a practical shopping list. You can personalise ingredients with your own stickers and keep useful buying notes close at hand.
07How do stickers and Sticker Studio perfect my shopping list?
Design the stickers you actually use in Sticker Studio, then put them where they matter. Whether it is 5g, 100ml or Wmart, up to 3 of them on any shopping-list item are a perfect match for the way you shop.
Make a sticker once and it is there on every list after that. A list can stay bare where the detail does not matter, and be exact where it does.
08How does Yeatee protect friend connections?
Friends are added in person using a QR code. Each code is valid for 30 minutes from the time it is created, and reopening the page during that period shows the same code. A successful scan creates a pending request; the person who displayed the code must still confirm it before the friendship becomes active.
09How many friends can I add?
You can keep up to 50 friends in your list, and this is the same on every plan. If you ever reach 50, you can remove someone you no longer plan meals with to make room for a new friend.
11Can I turn Meal History off or delete it?
Yes. Meal History is enabled by default and is kept for no longer than 90 days. Turning it off is a permanent deletion action, not a pause. You must open the Danger Zone and complete two separate confirmations. History from earlier days is then deleted and new meals are not added. Meals already recorded that day remain available until the next day and are then removed. Turning Meal History back on does not restore deleted history, and Yeatee support cannot recover it.
12I used Hide My Email with Apple. What should I send Support?
When you choose Hide My Email, Apple gives Yeatee a private forwarding address instead of your personal email address. This means the address you use to email us may not be enough to find your account.
Please include your Yeatee profile name and a screenshot of your Profile showing the current name and avatar, or the default profile image if you have not chosen an avatar. Keep these details unchanged while we are looking into the issue, and tell us if you need to change either one. The screenshot helps us find the right account, but we may need another check before making a sensitive account change.
We aim to send an initial response within 72 hours. Never send your password, an Apple verification code or full payment-card details.
13Where is Yeatee based, and where is my data handled?
Yeatee is operated by Web AI Tips Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. Our primary app services operate in the United Kingdom and European Economic Area. Some providers used for authentication, AI, subscriptions, payments and platform services may process information internationally with appropriate safeguards. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
14I am not happy with something in Yeatee. What can I do?
Tell us, and be specific. Most of what people find frustrating turns out to be either a bug we have not seen yet or a feature that does not behave the way it should, and both of those we can fix. Email support@yeatee.com with what you were doing, what you expected and what happened instead. A screenshot helps.
The same address is the right place for anything that is missing rather than broken: a limit that does not suit how you cook, a step that takes longer than it should, an idea we have not thought of. We read everything that comes in, and a good part of Yeatee exists because somebody wrote to us about it.
If you have paid for a subscription and want that payment returned, please understand that this is not something Yeatee is able to arrange. Apple is the seller for every App Store purchase, and refunds are decided by Apple alone. We are not permitted to issue, approve or arrange one ourselves, and writing to us will not begin the process. Requests are made at reportaproblem.apple.com, signed in with the Apple ID used for the purchase. This does not affect your rights under consumer law.
